I wonder, why cats are supposed to be selfish. They’re self-confident, that’s not the same.)

In my childhood our cat Dymka was a real earner. In the summer she caught mice and brought this “food” to our doorstep. And one day we found... a bag of fish! The cat stole it from neighbors and brought us prey. Moreover, I will never forget how she drove a huge shepherd dog when it seemed to her that the dog was dangerous for us. And how many times she climbed on the beds, when we were sick, and treated us ... She was never selfish. But she had her own opinion, no doubt.)

And yep, that cat was definitely “she”, not “it”.)
